Rate me
Wanting someone to "rate me" is a normal thing to want. Most of us have no idea how we come across to people we have never met. This page explains a simple way to get honest feedback on your photos without asking friends or posting yourself in public.
Why asking friends does not work well
Friends are too nice. They want you to feel good, so they say every photo looks great. That is kind, but it does not help you choose.
They also already know you. When they look at your photo, they see the person they know, not the photo itself. A stranger only has the photo to go on.
Why posting in public is not always great either
Some people post their photos on public forums and ask to be rated. You may get honest answers, but you may also get rude ones, and your photo stays up for anyone to see.
A private way to get rated is usually more comfortable. Your photos are only shown to people while they rank them.
Replies on public posts can also pile on, and one rude comment can stick with you longer than ten kind ones. That is not a calm way to decide which photo to use.
How it works here
You upload 3 photos of yourself. Real people of the opposite gender look at all 3 together and rank them from best to worst. You can pick the age range of the people who rank you, and you can add an ethnicity preference if you want to.
Your upload goes live after you rank 5 other sets of photos. Results come in over a few days. When they are ready, you can see the order and get a results card with a link to share.
What a ranking tells you
A ranking does not say you are a 6 or an 8. It tells you which of your photos people liked most. That is something you can act on. Use the top photo first on your dating profile, and try new photos against it later.
If you want to read more about scores versus rankings, see how attractive am I.
If two of your photos are close in the results, that is useful too. It means you have more than one good photo to work with.
Getting the most out of it
Take a lot of photos before you upload. Dozens, or even a hundred, and keep the best few. Pick 3 that are different from each other so the results mean something.
Every upload is free forever, including your second, third, and every one after that. Paying is only an optional way to skip the wait. You can pay $10 once or $30 for 5 skips, and paying does not change your results.
Try to have someone else take some of your photos, outside in daylight. Mirror selfies are rarely a good look.
